Beauty is said to be in the eyes of beholder. This is because each one of us has a different definition of beauty.There is the inner beauty which is the beauty and quality of the soul. It is the purest expression of beauty the soul has to offer. It goes far beyond physical appearance, it entails character. It is what makes a person desirable, interesting, reliable, trustworthy etc. Well, that is my opinion, i believe you have yours too.
There is also the outer beauty which entails ones physical appearance. It is solely based on external features. Those features make people to notice you and of course to be physically drawn to you. People react to your physical appearance and that is why it is important to look good.
To look good is to feel good. Each one of us is entitled to look and feel attractive as we choose but If we rely on outer beauty alone when we present ourselves to others, this amounts to nothing more than creating a false and temporary illusion of who we truly are. Our outer beauty can be enhanced by eating healthy and natural food as well as applying makeup.
Makeup is an art. it involves creativity and practice. The more you practice and experiment with colors, the better you become. It is also a form of expression.
So why do women makeup? For beauty or for confidence?
Well, i think that people wear makeup for different reasons. Some people apply makeup because it boost their self confidence.This does not mean that they are not confident without the makeup; it simply serves as a booster to their natural self-confidence.
Makeup helps in hiding those wrinkles, pimples, uneven colouring, blackheads and pores. Some women have low esteem as a result of acne, they feel ugly and unattractive. With makeup, they feel attractive and more appealing to others. A little dab of foundation and concealer gives them a gorgeous coverage.
Makeup is an art, some people wear it as a form of creativity and expression. Personally, i get more creative and artistic when doing makeup for people. Some people go for the natural look and others go for the dramatic, sexy look based on the occasion or how they feel at a particular time.
Some women wear makeup to give their face a more youthful glow and appearance. On the other hand, some teenagers apply makeup to make their faces look older, so that they can give off the appearance of being more mature than they really are.
In essence, makeup is an enhancer when applied appropriately.
